FP-240 Exporting to Excel

This course will teach you how to create Export Maps to create various kinds of data exports from EVMS forProject, including exports to Excel and other flat file formats.

Instructor-Led Remote Learning with Hands-On Exercises

Advanced users of EVMS forProject who want to learn how to develop Import Maps to import schedule data from Microsoft Project, or Project Server / Online into EVMS forProject

• A Windows computer (Windows 10 or later) with internet access
• Ability to access Citrix GoToMeeting (www.gotomeeting.com)
• A modern, updated browser (e.g., Edge, Chrome or Safari)
• Ability to access the forProject Virtual Learning environment
• Completion of course (FP-100) Introduction to EVMS forProject
• Note: Two monitors are recommended, but not required

After participating in this course, you will be able to:

• Understand the capabilities in EVMS forProject to export to Excel and other flat-file formats
• Create various kinds of Export Maps to match differing target file formats
• Use conditional expressions in Export Maps
• Use substitution maps in Export Maps
• Save your Export Map to a file that can be shared with other users or projects
• Open an Export Map from a saved file
• Perform exports to Excel and other flat-file formats using Export Maps
• Use filters to control the exported data
• Troubleshoot issues that may arise during export
