Learn how to create and compare project versions in EVMS forProject
Description
In this course, you’ll learn how to work with Project Versions in EVMS forProject. You’ll learn how to create Versions of your project for what-if purposes, or to support change management requirements. You’ll learn how to create Version Compare Maps to support comparisons of versions at the desired level of detail.

Audience
Current users of EVMS forProject who want to learn how to use the new Versions feature to create and compare alternative versions of Projects
Prerequisites
- A Windows computer (Windows 10 or later) with internet access
- Ability to access Citrix GoToMeeting (www.gotomeeting.com)
- A modern, updated browser (e.g., Edge, Chrome or Safari)
- Ability to access the forProject Virtual Learning environment
- Completion of course (FP-100) Introduction to EVMS forProject
- Note: Two monitors are recommended, but not required
Learning Objectives
After participating in this course, you will be able to:
- Understand Project Versions in EVMS forProject
- Create a Version as a copy of your current working version of the project
- Enter identifiers and other descriptive information for each Version
- Make copies of Versions
- Open and edit Versions in EVMS forProject Professional
- Work with Versions including Save, Backup, Snapshot, Import and Export
- Run Reports on Versions
- Save a copy of a Version as a new Project
- Use Versions in Reports and Exports
- Edit Version data in EVMS Web App (e.g., Rates, Resources, etc.)
- Create Version Compare maps in order to compare Versions at different levels of detail
- Run Version Comparisons using Version Compare maps
- Delete Versions
