FP-200 Importing from Microsoft Project

In this course, you’ll learn how to prepare for and import schedule data from Microsoft Project into EVMS forProject.  You’ll learn how to design Import Maps to match the structure, fields, and other conventions of your schedule, and to import schedule data into EVMS forProject.  You’ll also learn to troubleshoot potential issues with the schedule integration.  Note:  This course covers only importing from Microsoft Project in standalone mode.  If you want to learn about importing from Microsoft Project Server or Project Online, see course (FP-210) Importing from Microsoft Project Server and Project Online.

Instructor-Led Remote Learning with Hands-On Exercises

Advanced users of EVMS forProject who want to learn how to develop Import Maps to import schedule data from Microsoft Project into EVMS forProject

• A Windows computer (Windows 10 or later) with internet access
• Ability to access Citrix GoToMeeting (www.gotomeeting.com)
• A modern, updated browser (e.g., Edge, Chrome, or Safari)
• Ability to access the forProject Virtual Learning environment
• Completion of course (FP-100) Introduction to EVMS forProject
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Project, Project Server and/or Project Online
• Note: Two monitors are recommended, but not required
